Beautiful slate roof , walkable (12 minutes?) to downtown Maplewood and NYC train , Terrific curb appeal , Wonderful old world design and craftsmanship , huge living room with high ceilings (beams!) , gorgeous paneling on staircase , large dining room , Large brick oatio open to smaller flat yard , large dining room , Nice granite countertops , double oven , Large primary bedroom suite , Walk-up attic , All bedrooms connect to at least 1/2 bath (most full) , Asphalt shingles outside stair landing appear to be in rough shape (small patch) , large flat backyard , Really nice primary bath

White tile floor in kitchen , Very little closet space in primary bedroom , Kitchen feels dated , Some windows need maintenance

How they'd spend $12,000: "The house feels solid and has so much character and old world design that the kitchen stands out as not keeping up. Thankfully, it’s large, so no expansion is needed and won’t be as expensive as a major redo. To start, maybe change out all the white tile."

Have an inspector with slate roof expertise confirm the roof condition. Looks like some repairs with different colored slate on right valley above the front door. This house has many wonderful elements, but kitchen and bath work will cost some money!
